A Perfect Start to Fall
On this beautiful summer like day, it is hard to believe that it is actually the first day of fall. Soon Michigan will be enchanted by the autumn colors. Putman & Son’s Plumbing wishes a picturesque, delightful and wonderful season for all.
What Really Is a Garbage Disposal?
A garbage disposal is an electrically powered devise (the most common) installed under a kitchen sink, usually between the sink’s drain and the trap, which works by crumbling food waste into bits small enough to cross through plumbing. There are two types of garbage disposals; continuous feed and batch feed. Plumbing experts can determine which one of these two systems is better for you.
The United States is a global leader as a manufacturer of garbage disposals with Michigan emerging in the top five nationally.
Water Leaks
Water leaks have emerged as one of the major problems in households and require immediate attention, intervention and solutions. These leaks can cause massive physical damage to homes as well as incur unnecessary expenses such as higher water bills. Water leaks are caused by various reasons including old, overused or faulty pipes, loose pipe joints, too much pressure that may lead to bursting of the pipes, low quality pipes which often break, age and weather. Water leaks can go undetected when they occur inside the walls of the home or business or in a location not often visited. These “unnoticed” leaks can sometimes continue for many years and eventually cause great damage.
If you have identified or suspect a water leak, call Putman & Son’s Plumbing. We will come to your home or business and identify the source of the water leak, fix or replace any broken parts or pipes and tighten loose joints. Do not wait to fix a leak. It will only lead to a larger, more costly problem.
