Does Your Basement have a Foul Odor?

A foul odor in your basement may be coming from your drains.  When the water dries out in the trap, it allows gases to enter your basement and creates a bad smell. A simple solution is to add some water to your drain periodically. If the odor continues, add olive oil to slow down the evaporation process. Olive oil floats on top of the water thus keeping the water contained for a longer period of time.
