4 Things You Don’t Know About Plumbers
Plumbers are often relied upon to fix your emergency plumbing issues. Whenever your pipe bursts, your water heater is broken, or you find a gas leak, they are always there to help you fix your problem. How well do you know your plumber? Here are 4 things that you didn’t know about your plumber that may leave you surprised.
1. Safety is a real concern
When a plumber enters your home, they are instantly risking their safety. Working with pipes that can release over 50 pounds of water pressure is risky by itself, and that’s without including the dangerous air and gas components of the job. They are also exposed to many different germs and diseases that put their health at risk. So next time your plumber enters your home, give them a big thank you for helping.
2. They go through very intensive training
They did not gain their knowledge through YouTube videos and articles, they went through long training processes to best prepare them for work in the field.
3. They don’t want you to flush things down the toilet
Please do not flush anything that is not human waste-related down the toilet! No trash, no fruit, or veggies, and absolutely no grease. Even bathroom wipes and floss should not be flushed as they can clog your pipes.
4. It’s not a GARBAGE disposal
One of the most common issues that we solve is issues with sink disposals and kitchen pipes. Your kitchen sink disposal is only meant to dispose of small pieces of food. That means no bones, peels, wrappers, gum, grease, or anything that is not a small piece of food! Your kitchen pipes and sink disposal will be less prone to issues if you avoid those items listed above.

Ways to unclog a toilet that won’t drain
Is your toilet clogged and is being a pain? Try these tips below to help you drain your toilet!
Plunger
While this may seem like a basic tool, not every household has one. If you don’t have a plunger, we recommend going to the nearest supermarket or tool store to find one. If this doesn’t work, try our next trick.
Hot Water and Dish Soap
Start by heating a gallon of water on the stove, don’t let it reach a boiling point. Next, pour dish soap into your toilet and let it sit while the water heats up. When your water is ready, pour it down the toilet and let it sit for 15 minutes. After the time is up, flush your clog away! If this still doesn’t solve your problem, then try our last resort option below.
The Snake
If the above options didn’t solve your problem, then try our last resort Snake tool. This is a long tool that is inserted into the bottom of your toilet, once inserted, you will swirl it around to shake up what is clogging your toilet. This tool helps to reach clogs that are deeper in your pipes.

How to fix a leaky shower head
Showers are one of the most relaxing parts of your day, the warm water on your skin, alone time, and singing in the shower. But what happens when you have a leaky shower head? Not only is the dripping sound annoying, but your water bill will also increase as water drips down your drain. Read our steps below on how to fix your leaky showerhead.
Step 01 Remove Your Shower Head
Before you can diagnose your problem, you will need to remove your shower head. First, make sure your water is completely off. Begin by turning your showerhead counterclockwise until it is removed. If you are struggling to remove it, a damp cloth can help, or you may need pliers if that doesn’t work.
Step 02 Inspect and Clean Your Shower Head
Once your shower head is removed, you can begin to inspect it for issues. If you notice that the rubber or plastic washer on the inside has changed shape or is damaged, then you should replace it asap. If you notice any damage inside your showerhead, then it would be best to replace it as well. If there is no damage, then clean your showerhead! You can do this by boiling 3 cups of vinegar with some water and soaking the shower head for 30 minutes.
Step 03 Tape Your Threads
If you notice your threads are damaged, then put a strip of Teflon tape around the tip of the pipe system and wrap it in a thin layer. This can help to erase your leaking problems if your washers and showerheads aren’t damaged.
Finish: Put Your Showerhead Back On
Once you have completed the above steps, then you can put your showerhead back on. If your showerhead is still leaking after all of this, it is best to contact a professional to get help with a diagnosis of your issue.
