A sump pump in proper working order will prevent flooding in your basement. If functioning properly, seepage in the basement will flow into the sump pump safely draining the water from your home. Putman & Son’s Plumbing will inspect your sump pump and can also install a water-activated or battery backup sump pump for further peace of mind.

Steps You Can Do

• Dump a few buckets of water into your sump pump
• Check to see if the sump pump automatically turns on and drains the water away
• Check to make sure the sump pump shuts itself off afterwards
• Call Putman & Son’s Plumbing right away if your sump pump is not functioning properly
